Back in 2009 and 2010, there were a lot of rumors about how Twitter would affect Google rankings. Engineers from both the companies are making efforts to display all the tweets showing up in the Google search results that too as soon as they are published. This clearly states that whatever activity a user is doing over Twitter will have impact upon search engine visibility.  You will be surprised to know that the advertising revenue for the deal is zero. Instead, there are speculations that Twitter will be remunerated through data-licensing revenue.
