About Nissin Transport
Nissin Corporation began its operations in 1938 in Yokohama, Japan. They started as a domestic in-harbour transport company. Since then, they have expanded their operations to meet the logistical requirements of the Ports of Kobe, Osaka, and Chiba. In 1968, Nissin began providing holistic global logistics services, which is a new category of service. Now, they operate in Japan and 23 other countries.
Nissin Corporation has a diverse network of logistics centers and warehouses, which allows it to offer a wide range of value-added services. This approach ensures that there’s a smooth coordination between all of the carriers. As a result, they are able to facilitate timely deliveries, improve inventory management, and boost logistics capabilities. It has also helped their clients in meeting their supply chain needs.

Major Web Design Challenges Faced by Nissin Transport

Brochureware Limitation
Nissin Transport’s website worked as a static digital brochure instead of a functional tool. In fact, the old website forced its users to pick up the phone or email for each one of the minor inquiries. They had to face many low-value administration calls, which must have been handled with the help of a better interface.
Lack of Mobile Responsiveness
There were many users who wanted to access information on the go. But on the smartphone, the menus were impossible to click. Alongside this, the track shipment forms were also broken. As a result, there was a big friction point for field agents and logistics managers who depended upon real-time data.
Poor Brand Authority
Their website used low-resolution stock photos of generic semi-trucks, and it even had cluttered navigation. This was creating a big trust gap with high-value enterprise clients that equated modern technology with operational reliability. By failing to provide a sophisticated visual experience, the old website made them look like a budget provider.

Search Engine Visibility
The biggest solution that we implemented was to move to a mobile-first, fluid grid system. Since the logistics stakeholders access data on various devices, we carried out a breakpoint-driven design. This ensured that complex data, like tracking tables and quote forms, remained amazingly functional on a smartphone. We utilized contemporary CSS frameworks, in which we eliminated the pinch-and-zoom era of their previous website. Alongside this, we also optimized the backend for speed to ensure that there was a quick load time on low-bandwidth mobile networks in remote transit hubs. As a result, their site’s broken form issue was resolved.
